Brad Hanson - President
Brad is a hands-on owner who enjoys working closely with both our customers and the Hanson team. With more than 50 years of experience—as an independent contractor, sales representative, and regional sales manager for a major manufacturer—he brings a well-rounded perspective to every project. Brad got his start on job sites alongside his father and went on to earn a business degree from the Carlson School of Management, followed by an MBA in finance from the University of St. Thomas. His collaborative approach and deep industry knowledge help ensure our entire team stays focused on understanding and meeting the needs of our customers.
Megan Knutson - General Manager
Megan Knutson brings over 18 years of industry experience and leadership to her role as General Manager. A graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a degree in finance and financial management services, Megan has a strong foundation in business operations and customer service. She oversees day-to-day operations and drives strategic growth initiatives.
Megan is known for her hands-on leadership style, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to building strong relationships—with both customers and her team. She plays a key role in ensuring the company continues to deliver dependable service and high-quality solutions across all areas of the business.
Tim Streetar - Sales Manager
Tim brings nearly three decades of sales experience and more than 20 years with Hanson Building Materials. A graduate of Mankato State University with a degree in Finance, Tim combines strong industry knowledge with a practical understanding of the business side of building.
Over the years, he has developed a reputation for being a trusted resource for our customers, especially when it comes to challenging or complex projects. Tim takes the time to understand what each customer needs and works hard to find the right solution, always keeping one goal in mind: a satisfied customer at the end of the project. His experience, knowledge, and commitment to doing right by the customer make Tim an invaluable part of the Hanson team.
Tyler Obermueller - Sales
Tyler is the newest addition to the Hanson Building Materials sales team, bringing a strong background in the building industry including 7 years with Andersen Windows and a genuine passion for helping customers bring their projects to life. With experience working with builders, remodelers, and architects, Tyler understands the importance of finding the right products and providing knowledgeable, responsive service.
His approach is centered around building relationships, understanding each customer’s needs, and making the process as smooth as possible from start to finish. Tyler’s industry experience, competitive spirit, and commitment to customer service make him a great addition to the Hanson team. Outside of work, Tyler has a strong background in competitive golf, a passion that reflects the same focus, drive, and attention to detail he brings to his work.
Brent Voelker - Purchasing Manager
Brent brings more than 30 years of building industry experience to Hanson Building Materials, including over 20 years as a valued member of the Hanson team. As our Purchasing Manager, he oversees the purchasing of a wide range of products, making sure Hanson has the quality materials our customers need, when they need them.
A graduate of St. Cloud State University, Brent combines decades of industry knowledge with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing things right. He plays an important role in selecting products, managing inventory, and building strong relationships with our suppliers. Brent is also a key member of the Hanson Operations Team, working alongside our leadership and warehouse teams to help keep the day-to-day business running efficiently.
After more than two decades at Hanson, Brent has become an integral part of the team and a trusted resource within the company. His experience, reliability, and dedication help our company continually run smoothly.
Brett (Nelly) Nelson - Warehouse Manager
With more than 26 years at Hanson Building Materials, Brett “Nelly” Nelson brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role as Warehouse Manager. He has seen the company grow and change over the years and has become someone the team can count on for his understanding of our products, processes, and customers.
Nelly works closely with Nick and the warehouse crew to keep materials organized and orders moving in the right direction. His attention to detail and strong sense of organization are especially important when managing the many moving parts of a busy warehouse. He takes pride in doing things right and making sure the team has what they need to get the job done.
Nelly’s more than two decades of dedication to Hanson have made him a familiar and trusted face to both coworkers and customers. His experience, consistency, and commitment to the company are a reflection of the long-standing relationships and dependable service that have helped shape Hanson Building Materials over the years.
Nick Serakos - Warehouse Manager
Nick brings more than 20 years of experience with Hanson Building Materials to his role as Warehouse Manager. He is a key part of the team that keeps our warehouse organized, our materials moving, and our deliveries on schedule. From coordinating daily priorities to overseeing receiving and shipments, Nick helps make sure our warehouse is ready to meet the needs of our customers.
Working closely with Nick and the warehouse crew, Nick leads by example and takes a hands-on approach to getting the job done. He understands the importance of safety, communication, and teamwork, especially when things get busy. His ability to stay organized and focused helps the team work efficiently while maintaining the high standards Hanson customers have come to expect.
After more than two decades at Hanson, Nick has built strong relationships throughout the company and earned the trust of the people he works with every day. His experience, dependability, and willingness to jump in wherever needed make him an important part of the HBM team
