Brad Hanson - President
Brad is a hands-on owner who enjoys working closely with both our customers and the Hanson team. With more than 35 years of experience—as an independent contractor, sales representative, and regional sales manager for a major manufacturer—he brings a well-rounded perspective to every project. Brad got his start on job sites alongside his father and went on to earn a business degree from the Carlson School of Management, followed by an MBA in finance from the University of St. Thomas. His collaborative approach and deep industry knowledge help ensure our entire team stays focused on understanding and meeting the needs of our customers.
Megan Knutson - General Manager
Megan Knutson brings nearly 17 years of industry experience and leadership to her role as General Manager. A graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a degree in finance and financial management services, Megan has a strong foundation in business operations and customer service. Since 2020, she has served as General Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations and driving strategic growth initiatives.
Megan is known for her hands-on leadership style, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to building strong relationships—with both customers and her team. She plays a key role in ensuring the company continues to deliver dependable service and high-quality solutions across all areas of the business.
Tim Streetar - Sales Manager
Tim has been in sales since 1997 and has been with Hanson for nearly 2 decades. He graduated from Mankato State University in finance. He is extremely knowledgeable and ready to help our customers with their most challenging projects. Tim is always focused on one goal: having a satisfied customer in the end.
Brent Voelker - Purchasing Manager
Brent brings over 30 years of industry experience to Hanson Building Materials, where he serves as the Purchasing Manager. A graduate of St. Cloud State University, Brent is responsible for managing the majority of the buy and resale items, ensuring our customers have access to high-quality products they can rely on. In addition to his purchasing role, he is an integral member of the Operations Team, assisting with the day-to-day functions that keep HBM running efficiently. His commitment, experience, and attention to detail make him a vital part of our team.
Nick Serakos - Warehouse Manager
As Warehouse Manager, Nick keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From making sure deliveries arrive on time to overseeing safe and organized storage, he’s the go-to for keeping our warehouse in top shape. Nick also leads our hardworking warehouse crew—ensuring everyone’s working safely, efficiently, and maybe even having a little fun along the way. Whether it’s a truckload of materials or a quick team huddle, Nick handles it all with a steady hand and a great attitude.
Brett (Nelly) Nelson - Warehouse Manager
Nelly keeps things moving at Hanson Building Materials. As our other Warehouse Manager, he’s in charge of overseeing daily operations—making sure products are received, stored, and shipped with efficiency and care. With a strong focus on safety, organization, and teamwork, Nelly leads the warehouse crew with a calm, reliable presence. His attention to detail and hands-on approach help ensure that every order is accurate and on time. Nelly is a key part of what keeps Hanson running smoothly behind the scenes.
